Nipomo

SOUTHERN TIP OF SLO COUNTY
The original settlers of Nipomo were the Chumash Indians, who have lived in the area for over 9,000 years.  Nipomo was one of the first and largest of the Mexican land grants tin San Luis Obispo County.  Nipomo is a beautiful community nestled in the foothills with a variety of scenic views: acres of avocado and lemon orchards, sand dunes, stately rows of eucalyptus trees, and rolling hills of beautiful California Oaks.  Nipomo is known for its open space and friendly lifestyle.  Many homes are on an acre or more and provide a place to keep a horse, plant a garden or a small orchard.  Nipomo has a coastal influence with mild temperatures year round.  If you want to be close to South Counties thriving agricultural center or the cities of Santa Maria and Orcutt, but want to live in SLO county, Nipomo may be just the place to look.
