Paso Robles

Paso Robles or as locals call it "Paso", is a community of approximately 30,000 people nestled in the coastal mountain range of central California, where the values and riches of the past are interwoven with the future.  Located close to mountains, beaches, lakes,  rivers, and valleys, Paso Robles is one of San Luis Obispo county's fastest growing communities.  Recently named Wine Spectator's prestigious "Wine of the Year 2010", Saxum Vineyards has put Paso Robles on the map for fine wine!   Paso Robles Vineyard  J. Lohr also was named "American Winery of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.  Paso Robles is not just the little micro-vineyards it once used to be.  Large companies like Fiji Water are entering the Paso Robles market with their recent purchase of the famed Justin Vineyards.  Every year Paso Robles host its annual Wine Festival, Zin Festival, Olive Festival and Harvest Festival, all of which attract thousands of wine lovers form all over the country.  If you like wine, every weekend can be a wine festival with an almost endless supply of boutique vineyards and tasting rooms.

If wine is not your thing or at least not your only thing, Paso Robles has several other nationally recognized events including a huge Mid State Fair, several Equestrian events and Festivals, along with our Vine street parade which encompasses the entire Victorian "Vine" street coming alive with lights, Christmas music, carolers, hot cider, and plays.  There is even a scrooge that sits on his balcony and yells at the children passing by.  Every week Paso Robles  has a farmers market of organic vegetables and fruits form locally grown organic farms.
